Hi, this is Mayor Justin Elicker with a message for New Haven residents about this year’s Greater New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Parade happening this Sunday, March 12th at 1:30 p.m. as well as some related road closures and parking restrictions in the downtown area. Por favor espere para escuchar este mensaje en español.  

 

The St. Patrick’s Day Parade is one of New Haven’s most celebrated annual events and I hope many residents will be able to come out, celebrate and join the festivities.  

 

Due to the parade, there will be several street closures and parking restrictions in the downtown area. Residents and visitors traveling downtown or near the parade route – which is along Chapel Street, Church Street and Elm Street – should provide extra time for their commute and expect traffic delays and congestion.  

 

Residents living on or around the parade route area should pay careful attention to the posted No Parking signs. A list and map of the specific street closures and No Parking areas – some of which go into effect as early as 9 am on Sunday – can be found on the City website’s (bit.ly/New-Haven-St-Patricks-Day-Parade-Route-2023).

Hola, soy el alcalde Justin Elicker con un mensaje para los residentes de New Haven sobre el Desfile del Día de San Patricio de New Haven de este año que tendrá lugar este domingo, el 12 de marzo, a la 1:30 de la tarde, así como algunos cierres de carreteras relacionados y restricciones de estacionamiento en el centro de la ciudad.  

 

El Desfile del Día de San Patricio es uno de los eventos anuales más celebrados de New Haven y espero que muchos residentes puedan venir, celebrar y unirse a las festividades. 

 

Debido al desfile, habrá varios cierres de calles y restricciones de estacionamiento en el centro de la ciudad. Los residentes y visitantes que viajan al centro o cerca de la ruta del desfile, que se encuentra a lo largo de Chapel Street, Church Street y Elm Street, deben proporcionar tiempo adicional para su viaje y esperar retrasos de tráfico y congestión.
