Dear Neighbors,

Here are a few community updates to guide your October week-end activities.

New Haven Night Market - Friday, October 14 from 5-10pm on Chapel Street between College and York Streets
New Haven Market Night is back for the first time on Chapel Street! This exciting event features an evening bazaar celebrating all things New Haven!
See what excitement you can find along the Chapel Street Historic District!

New Haven's Hometown Recycling Day - Saturday, October 15 from 9am-3pm at Hill Career High School/140 Legion Avenue
You can recycle electronics, mattresses/box springs in decent condition, textiles, rechargeable batteries, and sensitive documents to be shredded. Please see the English and Spanish flyers attached below for more specific information on what you can bring and learn! This is a great opportunity to get rid of things that we often don't know what to do with.

Home Haven Shredding Morning - Saturday, October 22 from 9am-12noon in the Home Haven Office Parking Lot at 291 Whitney Avenue (enter on Bishop Street)
A shredding truck will be there so if you miss the Hometown opportunity for shredding you can visit the Home Haven event.

Halloween Pumpkin Decorating - Saturday, October 29 from 3:30-5:30pm in Wooster Square Park
Bring your families/children for the Historic Wooster Square Association's Halloween Pumpkin Decorating event - back for the first time since COVID! Look for the flyer posted throughout our wonderful neighborhood and see it attached below for the details.

I will send out a public safety update after tomorrow's CompStat Meeting.

🍁🍂 Enjoy today's beautiful weather 🍂🍁
