Reply-To: New Haven Alerts <conf-631518ea43775d0cf91387...@smtpic-ne.prd1.everbridge.net>New Haven ALERTSPlease click here to acknowledge receipt of this messageHi, this is Mayor Justin Elicker with a message for New Haven residents about the upcoming New Haven Road Race on Labor Day, Monday, September 5th and related parking restrictions and road closures.
This year is the 45th anniversary of New Haven Road Race and over 4,000 runners are expected to participate in various races: the Kids Fun Run Race, 5K, half-marathon, relay and the 20K USA Track and Field national championship race. It’s a great day for residents and runners alike who come from all over the region and country.
Some road closures are required to provide a safe course for the runners – and if you are receiving this message, you likely live close to or live directly on the race course. So, please pay close attention to posted streets signs with “no parking” notices and be sure to move your vehicle as directed to avoid a ticket or being towed.
Thank you for your cooperation and I hope you have a safe and enjoyable holiday!
