The Historic Wooster Square Association Tree Care Team, Coordinated by Charlotte Eliscu, is looking for volunteers to water newly planted trees as they get established and put down roots in our community. Each tree needs 25 gallons, once a week, but you'll only need to commit 2 hours at a time! Equipment and instructions are provided and flexible scheduling can be tailored to find a time that works for you!
This is a community partnership between the Historic Wooster Square Association, the Wooster Square Conservancy, the New Haven Parks Department, Urban Resources Initiative, and neighbors like YOU!

Lenzi Park Needs More Friends 🌳🪻
LENZI PARK - at St.John & Jefferson St. and just 2 blocks north of Wooster Square Park - NEEDS MORE FRIENDS!
Though smaller and less historic than its neighbor, Wooster Square Park, beautiful Lenzi Park has far more plantings and these need attention.
For over 20 years Lenzi Park has been created and tended by volunteers supported by Urban Resources and the New Haven Parks Dept.
THE FRIENDS OF LENZI PARK
HAS SCHEDULED WORK SESSIONS on THURSDAYS from 5-7pm during the Spring-Fall! Come by and see what they do and maybe join them in the open air, flex a muscle and do some good.
That’s it on this dreary April day - but remember, April showers are great for the trees and plants 🌱
