"THE ED FLECK BAND" AND TOMMY MAHER TO HEADLINE RETROFEST 36, PAYING TRIBUTE TO THE POWDER RIDGE MUSIC FESTIVAL OF 1970, TO BENEFIT THE LONG ISLAND CRISIS CENTER

Allan Spielman of Retrofestivals.org, Retrofest 36 will celebrate the 43th anniversary of the famous 1970 concert that was planned to rival Woodstock but was canceled. It is better know as the "Greatest Concert that Never Happened". It will have a a musical lineup of Vitamin D, the Rockinghams, Roger Silverberg, Tommy Maher and Retro69, the Project, and the Ed Fleck Band. There will be an additional acoustic stage as well. It will to sample the original planned Powder Ridge Rock Festival concert experience. The show will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2013 from 7:30pm – 1:30am at Whoville Bar and Grill 339 Broadway Bethpage NY 516-931-9296 . $10 donation at the door. Every dollar raised will benefit Long Island Crisis Center, a non-profit intervention center that offers counseling, information, referral, and other supportive services, primarily
through a 24-hour a day, seven-day-a-week telephone crisis hotline & live online counseling. They also advocate for appropriate services & programming on behalf of Long Island’s underserved and disenfranchised population.
Retrofest is an ongoing grassroots effort that recreates famous festivals of the late 60s through early 70s.Whenever possible, the concert will follow the lineup from the original scheduled concert, including covers of the Eric Burdon & War ,
Sly and the Family Stone, Delaney & Bonnie , Fleetwood Mac , Melanie Safka , Mountain , James Taylor , Joe Cocker , Allman Brothers , Cactus , Little Richard , Van Morrison, Jethro Tull, Zephyr , Janis Joplin , Chuck Berry , Grand Funk Railroad , Richie Havens , John B. Sebastian , Spirit, Ten Years After , Led Zeppelin and The Guess Who.
