On Saturday, December 14, 2013 from 7:00pm – 1:00am, Retrofest 37 will be a concert in Tribute to the Atlanta Pop Music Festivals of 1969 and  1970, benefiting theThe Richard M. Brodsky Foundation. The fund-raiser will take place at the at Backstage Lounge at 948 Broadway, Woodmere, New York 11598. 13 Bands will be covering the music of The Butterfield Blues Band, Canned Heat, Chicago,  Creedence Clearwater Revival,  Grand Funk Railroad Janis Joplin, Joe Cocker,  Led Zeppelin, Grateful Dead, The Allman Brothers Band, B.B. King,  Bob Seger, Jimi Hendrix Rare Earth, Richie Havens,  Spirit,  Ten Years After, Terry Reid and al lthe other bands that perfromed at the Atlanta Pop Music Festivals.


All net proceeds will benefit the The Richard M. Brodsky Foundation. It exists to raise money for an AIDS cure or vaccine, research, to benefit those already living with HIV/AIDS, and to benefit those with brain cancer. The Richard M. Brodsky's Foundation’s goal is to raise America’s awareness that AIDS is an epidemic that has affected the lives of millions of people globally, especially in Third World countries. The Richard M. Brodsky Foundation is based in New York and was founded by Richard M. Brodsky, an HIV/AIDS and brain cancer survivor.
