Join Just Food at the 11th CSA in NYC Conference and help your CSA win a free canning class. 

This year we are excited to offer a free canning class to the CSA that has the greatest percentage of their members attending the conference.  This is just one of the special canning education opportunities made possible by the lead sponsor of this year's conference: Jarden Home Brands, makers of Ball® Brand Fresh Preserving Products.

The Just Food CSA in NYC Conference is an opportunity for CSA members from around the city to come together with local farmers for a day of sharing information and exploring CSA and our food system. We are excited to have Jean-Paul Courtens of Roxbury Farm joining us this year as our keynote speaker. Roxbury Farm was the first CSA farm in NYC and is celebrating their 20th anniversary of NYC CSAs this year.

Workshops throughout the day include canning demonstrations, information on how to use and care for your CSA share, skill sharing such as Hosting Successful CSA Events, and conversations about Racism in the Food System and the 2012 Farm Bill. Keep your eye on our website for more information about workshop topics. You will also have a chance to ask questions of a few of our CSA farmers at our Farmer Panel.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided and the conference will conclude with an EXPO and Reception, featuring local purveyors of food and drinks. Click here to see a list of our EXPO participants.
