The Big Payback, a community-wide, online giving day hosted by The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, returns this Thursday, May 2, and Friends of Woodmont Park is thrilled to be participating once again!

The 2019 charitable event will help to support Woodmont Park, as well as celebrate the good work of participating Middle Tennessee nonprofits, schools, and religious institutions. In the past five years, the region’s generosity was astonishing as our community rallied together to raise a total of $12.5 million for nearly 1,000 area organizations. How does The Big Payback work? Kicking off at midnight on Thursday, May 2, donors can make gifts online to The Big Payback’s participants located in or providing services to the 40 counties of Middle Tennessee. This year, your contributions to Friends of Woodmont Park will be matched dollar for dollar up to $500 overall!  For 2019, Friends of Woodmont Park is initiating a project to improve access and functionality of the upper tier/basketball area and related work to enhance the retaining wall.  With a host of new families with young children in the neighborhoods surrounding the park, we are thrilled to see new volunteer faces, but most importantly, be the peaceful oasis for families and neighbors to come together in our collective back yard!
