First and foremost, thank you for being part of this important day to promote giving.
As you may know, there have been continuing technical difficulties with the donation form on The Big Payback site.
You are not alone. It is not that you or your nonprofit have made any mistakes or that your donors haven't been giving.
The Big Payback site is powered by a company named Kimbia, and they are serving multiple communities in this way today.
The great news is that we live in a very generous community, in a singularly generous country. The bad news is that this throng of giving overloaded the system nationwide.
We have been in frequent contact with Kimbia about their status of restoring all giving functionality.
Kimbia has its developers focused on getting the website in full working order, and we hope for a more detailed update shortly.
In the interim, The Community Foundation Team has already been discussing what our plan will be for extending the day or changing course so that we can make up for lost time -- so that the many donors who are anxiously waiting to make gifts to your organization may do so sooner rather than later.
We could not possibly be more sorry for the frustration this has caused. Please share this information with your donor base and extend our deepest apology to them from The Community Foundation and its Big Payback Team.
Sincerely,
The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee
