2021 The Woodlands area 'spring' events need your help

Hello there!

I *hope* are doing well, and that if you're not, that better things are coming.

If you have been itching to get out and use your amateur radio on an event, I have some good news for you.

In The Woodlands area, both The Woodlands Marathon and Ironman Texas events are proceeding with plans to happen, and, both need our help.

The specific events I'm referring to are:

The Woodlands Marathon is happening March 6th.

Note: I am aware that the course for both the full and half marathon courses has changed, and I will have details soon regarding that, but, we are still looking to provide people at aid stations, and crews for SAG vans, and staff at the Main Medical area.

The Ironman is happening April 24th.

If you are part of a club or have opportunities to spread the word about these events, please, don't hesitate.

The organizers are taking precautions regarding covid, and are working to provide a safe event for people to 'do their thing'.  Whether that's as a participant or as a volunteer.

I will be providing updates as both events get closer.
