- Sister Gail Lusher, a long time member of the Discovery Park Ward, passed away this week. Sister Lusher was the compassionate service leader in our ward for a number of years. It was a full time calling for her. She was very active with the transplant patients and their families at Fred Hutchinson hospital and was available for anyone in the ward who needed her. She was truly a very compassionate person and a good friend to all. The Lusher family will wait to hold a memorial service for Gail.
- Last Thursday, Sharon Bono, a member of the Discovery Park Ward passed away. She was a talented singer and a beloved friend to many in our stake. She will certainly be missed by many. Funeral services will likely take place early in 2021.

The bishop has also asked that every ministering companionship make a deliberate and special effort this month to reach out to those to whom you minister and see how they are doing at this time. Be especially aware of those who may have caregiving responsibilities, have children returning to school, etc.

Missionary Work COVID Style
The sister missionaries have been using Facebook to find people who are ready to learn about the gospel. They have asked everyone in the ward to like and share their Facebook page, which shares peaceful uplifting content to help others come unto Christ. Their page is called Come Unto Christ in North King County (pictured above).
They also want to share how we can use Facebook and technology to invite others to come unto Christ and will be reaching out to individuals and families for a quick lesson. These sisters are great allies in missionary work- when they contact you, please take the time to chat with them about this amazing new vision for missionary work!
If you are tech-savvy, love social media, or have ideas about how we can help the sister missionaries, please call or text them at 425-260-5453. |

Come, Follow Me—for Individuals and Families: Weekly Study Schedule
All Come, Follow Me—for Individuals and Families resources are available online as well as through the Gospel Libary app on your smartphone or tablet.
For each individual and family to come out on the other side with (1) a deeper testimony of the Savior and of the Restored Gospel, and (2) a deeper connection to our ward family. To do this please consider how you can:
- BE A FRIEND | Am I being a friend to those I minister to?
- TAKE RESPONSIBILITY | Even though I can't do everything I could pre-Covid, am I adapting to my current circumstances and serving those I'm called to serve?
- SEEK OUT THE GOOD WORD OF GOD | Am I holding regular daily personal study, and weekly home worship? (This is primarily home-centered worship and study, assisted by Sunday devotionals and other less-frequent virtual lessons/emails/summer reading charts/etc)
