Hey Folks,
 
 Even though some of the old timers are turning away from wood firing some young'un is gonna want to dig up the past and fire with wood so I'm throwing this out there because most of those old farts won't show ya this stuff unless you attend their workshop or buy the book and get their degrees ...


 A couple key things I did this firing were to start out with the chimney cap about half or a third open from the start and skipping the active damper. Stirring the coals at temperature sure made another difference too. You might notice the draft is so good I can put wood chunks into the Pignose without catching on fire. I think I only got bit by a hot brick twice this firing.
