Sonograms/fetal monitoring for women with fibroids

One of my clinic patients whose fundal heights were entirely normal throughout the whole pregnancy just delivered a SGA baby unexpectedly at term. I'm wondering if I should have done something different during her prenatal care - she had fibroids & is overweight, which may have contributed to her normal FH despite the baby being small. Her last sono was at 20 weeks for anatomy. Would anyone routinely refer for additional sonos or ATU monitoring based on fibroids? or on elevated BMI?
