1. Is there a policy that women with SROM cannot ambulate? I thought they could as long as not on any medications - but last night 2 nurses & Laura DeSimone told me that women must stay in the bed if ruptured due to risk of cord prolapse. I know some hospitals have this policy for this reason but I did not think Woodhull was one of them. Can anyone confirm one way or the other?
Related - can women ambulate with internals (assuming tracing is ok)? I'm assuming not but wanted to check. What about if internals were placed for poor tracing which then improved? So far I have kept all these women in bed but I realize I never actually confirmed to see what is actual policy.
2. Does Woodhull offer outpatient talk therapy? I know we have psychiatrists to rx meds, but how do we get someone connected to ongoing talk therapy? Anyone know of resources/orgs in the community that offer talk therapy for free / sliding scale / in Spanish?
Thanks-
Lily
