We have made arrangements with a local mover who’s repair, work,we have handled for years. We schedule at least a half day of stops for them. They charge us $85 per stop and we pass that on to the client. They can make 3-5 stops. It is a good rate that we are all happy with and it saves us a lot of money and time. Still a lot of people decide to drop off.

So, my shop van finally bit the bullet! I was trying for 400,000 miles and
she took her last drive at 396,000 mile.....I was more upset that the van
didn't make to 400,000 than the enging dying itself....Probably a blessing
since the logo and decals were holding the body together......sooooooooooo,

after seeing sticker shock on new vans (ford transit)......I think I need
to raise my pick up and delivery rates..... Now I know why my plumber
charges me $300 for a 20 min job!....It's his new van!

I drew a map and radius lines and came up with some rates....$20, $40, $60,
$90 each way...I called a new furniture store to see what they charge for
delivery and even a close one is $125 on up...

I am thinking about basing it on my shop rate $85/hour (too low? I
haven't raised it in 10 years)...What do you all charge for it or even
offer it? When I say I charge, you would be surprised at how many people
say...Oh, I can just drop it off and pick it up myself....great....that
saves me time!...But I do think it is something I would like to continue as
I do get some large jobs.....

Open to suggestions and hearing what other people do...

Thanks

WE charge 85/hour for shop work and 85-125 per trip to pickup and deliver ( depending on distance and # of items)
