All of our collections are designed in Vancouver, BC. Our ceramics are crafted in Central Portugal and our flatware in Northern Portugal, both by family-owned and operated partner companies. Our glassware is crafted in Japan by a company with glassmaking roots that stretch back more than 120 years. Yes! We are always looking for ways to improve and we adjusted our glaze to be slightly less matte in June 2020. This has helped limit those pesky gray markings that matte ceramics are susceptible to. If you have any questions about this, feel free to reach out to us
Yes! Based on your feedback (and to better match the new ceramic shapes we launched in 2021), we updated the shape of our Pasta Bowls. The new shape has slightly lower and more tapered sides than the original, making them easier to stack. Feel free to reach out with any questions!

We ship to Canada (excluding Nunavut), the United States (excluding Alaska and Hawaii) and the United Kingdom. If you're located outside of these regions, then send us an email and we'd be happy to work on a solution together.
Our products are first shipped from Portugal, Japan, Germany, or the USA to our fulfillment centers in Canada and England, then shipped out to your home. You will not have to pay duty on your Fable products as we handle all import fees when we bring them into North America and the United Kingdom. If for any reason you are asked to pay duties on your packages, get in touch with us here.
All of our packaging materials are recyclable. To recycle the boxes, envelopes, and packing paper, flatten and place them curbside or wherever you put other recyclable products like cans, bottles, and cartons. The sustainable bio-film that cushions your products is made from potato starch and maize starch. Composed of renewable raw resources, it is fully home compostable and 100% biodegradable. Any packing peanuts shipped with your order are also made of starch and will break down in the sink with water.
Our vision has always been to balance profit with purpose. For every bundle sold in the UK, we work with Magic Breakfast (Charity No. 1102510, Scottish Charity No. SC048202) to provide two healthy breakfasts to school children in disadvantaged areas.
As our glassware is made, approximately half of the materials used come from in-house recycled glass cullet (broken or waste glass). The Japanese facility that produces our glassware received a Management System Certificate for Environmental Management in 2005, and are currently working to reduce CO2 emissions by 14%, while also working to reduce material input by 3%. In addition, they are continually working to reduce energy, resource consumption, and waste. At Fable, we are working towards our aim of ensuring that our creators eventually have zero-waste facilities.

In-stock non-furniture items are typically fulfilled and shipped out within 2-3 business days unless otherwise noted on the website. Please note that orders placed on a Friday may not ship until Monday.

We recommend using the lowest complexity setting (rotate the inner aperture so the largest hole is facing outwards) and then putting a high-reward treat like peanut butter on the top fins to entice them to engage for the first several sessions.
This toy is made of a high strength silicone and is resistant to chewing (though it is not intended as a chew toy); however every dog plays differently and power chewers might bite through the exterior or break off small pieces. It is always best to keep a close watch on your dog just in case.

We recommend washing toys in the sink using warm water, soap, and a bottle brush or toothbrush. For truly tough gunk removal, the Falcon toy is top-rack dishwasher safe, but try to skip the heated dry cycle.
The M Crate with the Acrylic Gate as well as the S and M Crates with White Gate ship within 1-3 weeks. However, the current lead time for the S Acrylic Crate is 4-8 weeks. The limited-edition Crate with the Walnut finish is made-to-order and expected to ship in 4-5 months.

One of the benefits of our signature crate is that it is much quieter than most metal crates. However, the latch makes some noise when opening and closing. If your dog is highly sensitive to sound, they might be startled when the latch is opened and closed.
No, crates can never be fully escape-proof, and if your dog is especially guileful, they MAY be able to sneak out. Because our crate is non-refundable, we advise not ordering if you think your dog may be a natural escape artist.
Yes, you can loop material through the lower D-Ring to shorten the Magic Link and/or use it as a hand lead (either looping your wrist through the length of rope threaded through the lower D-ring or by holding the lower D-ring between your index finger and thumb).
If your dog enjoys an easy stroll around the block or a run in the park while staying at your side, this is the leash for them! Please keep in mind we do not recommend this leash for dogs that are prone to pulling and/or chewing.
