Hello Neighbors,
I apologize if you get their message twice with the changeover to the new Google groups.

A couple of months ago when all of the trees were being cut down on the corner of Patten and Wachusett Street to eliminate interference with the wires,  I called the Mayor's hotline to request that the utility also remove the ugly double pole at the corner.  To my astonishment, they did this time.  When I had called several years ago about the same issue in the neighborhood, a very unhelpful man on the hotline told me I couldn't make the request for the whole neighborhood, so I would have to call each individual utility and report the location of each pole.  If you have a double pole near your house, I suggest that you call the Mayor's hotline to request  that it be removed.  If anyone gives you a runaround, say that you know that they arranged to have the pole at Patten and Wachusett removed.  Let's hope that we can get rid of all of them!
Linda

Anyone feel we should address the double lamp post at the corner of Bourne and Bournedale, and how ridiculous and wasteful that is?

That went up years ago when they were offering our neighborhood the fancier lights, it was a sample to see if
we wanted them. Then it all fell off the schedule and it remains there. I think the neighborhood historian who
lives  across the street from it had something to do with it. I cant think of his name right now.
