Mitchell, and all
From what I see we have a trumpet, tuba, percussion, maybe a flute and maybe a trombone. I don’t think this is enough to perform at Honk. I’m not the official word here but I suggest you tell Charlo we can’t make it and ask about performing with the pick-up band (times, charts, locations).
Given the current composition of the band it was a long shot we’d be able to get a group together. Maybe we can pick up some members at the festival.

Hello Mitchell,
I'm afraid we need to know whether your band is coming to Honk or
not. We are printing t-shirts and posters and such that need to actual
list of bands that are coming. Can you let me know very soon?

Thank you Charlo.
I am trying to get enough members to commit to this festival, and I am super excited. I haven't heard from Dave yet.
We are so excited and grateful to play Honk Festival this year.

Hello Mitchell,
I hope that you have received notification that we would love to have your band join us. David, on the committee, was going to email you with the details, and I just wanted to make sure that you heard from him.
I'm looking forward to hearing and meeting the band.

Definitely.
The Worcester Ice Cream Social Band was made for the radical community in the
Worcester/Central Massachusetts area. The name is derived as a homage to
Emma Goldman, the famous anarchist, who historically has ties to Worcester, Massachusetts.
At one point in her life, Emma Goldman was said to have an ice cream
parlor in the Canal district of Worcester. We are a very new band
consisting of soprano saxophone, trumpet, tuba, saxophone, and a few
percussionists. As we are still in the infant stage as an ensemble, we
have tried to maintain a presence in the community, most recently playing the
half time show for the Worcester World Cup soccer tournament. We have
played Start on the Street, Central Massachusetts'
largest Art Walk, and we have worked in small community groups to bring music
for the masses.
In essence, we are a new community ensemble. My goal is to recruit more
folks from all walks of life and utilize music for social and radical change.

There are Honk events Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We don’t know what we’re committing to if we say yes. These people have been very patient with us but they need an answer now. Mitchell, I don’t know how to arrive at a consensus from the responses we’ve received. I’m proposing that you make a decision and email it to Charlo by Sunday noon. The band will back you either way.
