Hey everybody  --  I am sorry, but I cant make it to the HonK Fest.   I am commited to a family weekend in Western Pennsylvania, and i still have not figured out how to be in two places at once.    It is too bad that the HONK organizers seem to have changed their mind about us at such a late date, after people had made other plans. 

Another little worry --  why did they say no to our participation earlier, and now they invite us after all, with no mention of our previous communication??     Somebody should make sure that this letter is an actual invitation to play, and not just a boiler-plate invitation (sent out to their entire email list) just to attend and listen.     Perhaps this is me being too paranoid, but the tone of their note makes me read it this way.   

Let me know about uprcoming rehearsals.

Good point, Charlie.  I think that is definitely a possibility - it does not sound to me like an invitation to perform, but rather an invite to attend. 

Regardless, I may also have family plans for either the 12th or the 13th - however, those family plans will be in the Boston area - meaning that I may be able to do both!  My family can come and watch us perform.  So I am tentatively in, I guess, if we are actually even invited to perform.

hmm, damn….i dunno then.  Maybe we should collectively decide to cancel?  I guess I can learn horn parts, but I was hoping for more horns/winds.
