Over 20 artists and craftspeople--including me--will be offering their work at 17 locations around the island on Sept. 4 and 5 from 10am to 6pm. I'll be showing in my home again, offering original framed paintings in soft pastels and acrylics, and some high quality prints and cards as well.

My daughter Joan will be displaying her fine art photography for the first time as well at the same location. (She's been doing the food photos for my Whatcom Locavore blog, too.) We're both excited for you to see her work! She'll be offering prints and cards, too.

Other artists will be displaying paintings, drawings, prints, pottery, jewelry, photography, garden and herbal products, notecards, sculpture, glass, metalwork, stonework, fiber, and more! The church near my home will be selling bratwurst lunches on both days, and other special events are also happening. Details are on the tour map (see link below).

Also, there are several special events planned during this tour. The church near my home will be selling bratwurst lunches on both Saturday and Sunday, Lynn Dee will be doing a raku firing of some of her pottery, and more. It's all on the tour map available at the Islander grocery store when you arrive, or online at: http://www.lummi-island.com/image-li/ArtistTour.pdf
One side has the map and the other side has information about artists and events.

Ferries run at 10 past every hour from Gooseberry Point. Round trip costs $10 per car and driver and $4 per passenger--kids under 12 free). If the weather's good, you might want to bring your bicycle! When you get off the ferry, turn left and stop at the Islander grocery store to pick up a tour map, if you haven't printed one out from online. I'm at location 12 this time.

Hope to see you this weekend!
