Greetings WomenNC Supporters,
WomenNC’s new leaders and cadre of volunteers are busy planning for our upcoming year and excited about many new opportunities for WomenNC to participate in the community and continue its signature Student Fellowship Program.
Our two major events are a mid-October Fundraising Gala (date TBD) and the February 2013 Student Fellowship Dinner Forum. We’re starting to organize both, and reaching out to our creative WomenNC supporters to assist us with two things: Corporate Sponsorship Opportunities, Items for Silent Auction/Raffle, and Travel Donations. Below are brief explanations:
Sponsorship Possibilities: If you work for a company that offers employee donation matching or designated funds for charity or non-profit work, we’d appreciate hearing about these opportunities! Please investigate whether your firm has programs to contribute annually to community or education-related non-profits. Requests for funds are often best received with personal communication; linking people with a “cause”. We’d be more than happy to write letters, have meetings, provide documentation, or support you in any way to facilitate the request for funds on behalf of WomenNC and our upcoming 2013 Student Fellowship Program.
Items for October Fundraising Event - Raffle or Auction: Do you have a beach house, vacation condo, tickets to sporting events or performance, gift certificates, jewelry, spa certificates, professional services, or other quality items you'd be willing to donate to WomenNC for a silent auction or raffle? Or, if you have contacts you’d recommend we approach for donations, we'd love to know that too.
Donate Airline Points for WomenNC Student Fellows travel to the U.N. 57th Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) – 5-6 Student Fellows will travel to New York the first week of March 2013 to participate in CSW and share their North Carolina research findings and best practice organizations with 1000’s of global participants. Your tax-deductible equivalent frequent flier miles donation is another way you could support WomenNC.
If you can help or have ideas for any of these requests, please email Annie Hardison-Moody at annieh...@gmail.com at your earliest convenience. We really appreciate your support to raise funds for WomenNC.

Thanks so much!
