Greetings WomenNC Supporters –
On behalf of WNC we want to bring you up-to-date on a few key items:

2012 WomenNC Student Fellows:
April 30, 2012 was the close of a very busy year for WomenNC, primarily focused around five dedicated, hard-working 2012 WomenNC CSW Student Fellows, and their WNC support team. These young leaders committed 6+ months to becoming stellar ambassadors for North Carolina; sharing their findings and “best-practice” agencies focused on Rural North Carolina Women at local venues and on the global stage, at the United Nations 56th Commission on the Status of Women in New York. The attached summary of events depicts how committed these ladies have been, exchanging their experiences with 100’s of people since January and will continue to do so as guest speakers throughout 2012.

New Board Elected 2012/2013:
On Monday, May 14, 2012 a new WomenNC’s Board of Directors nominating slate was presented and voted in. Please see the attachment listing the complete 2012/13 Board, Committees Chairs, contact information and our gratitude for all the hard work by our outgoing Board members, or as they shift “hats”.

For timeliness and cost-savings, WomenNC communicates primarily through email. Our 1100+ listserv includes attendees from events, contributors, community leaders, academicians, and personal referrals. We never share our listserv with other organizations. WomenNC wants to ensure that email recipients welcome our communications about events, newsworthy items and opportunities.
