My name is Terri Persico and I'm the Founder of a very early stage start-up called Veebit.  We're building a value profiling tool that will allow users to make purchasing, investment and daily activity decisions aligned with their values.

Our work has a lot to do with finance, environmental and social metrics, and psychometrics, all of which I know something about.  But it will be a web-based tool and I know nothing about the language of the web ;)

Looking forward to getting to know you all, and thank you Natasha for taking the initiative to get the group together!

I live between Santa Barbara CA and Chicago

Hi there everyone!

My name is Kimberly Bryant and I currently reside in the Bay Area. I
am really excited to have found this group via Women2.0! I am an
electrical engineer by trade and currently work in the Bio/Pharma
industry currently as an IT Project Manager. Most of my career as an
engineer has been spent in the heavy manufacturing and consumer
products side but I have recently had motivation to revisit my computer
programming days of old :-).

Mainly this motivation is driven by an organization I recently launched
in the bay area to teach girls of color from 7-14 how to become
computer programmers and tech entrepreneurs (www.BlackGirlsCode.com).
We are launching our first pilot class this weekend and along this
journey I have decided to learn more programming skills myself so that
I can really create the best program possible for my girls and be a
good mentor as they learn. I am also pursuing creating a start-up of
my own in the m-Health area within the near future. Although I can
"talk code" which is a great help in working with developers, I would
really like to gain enough skills to be able to create my own first
prototype if needed to get my idea up and running.

I am really looking forward to learning with all of you and meeting
other women like minded to learn and grow with.

Looking forward to it!

~Best, Kimberly
