The Cluster of Excellence "Machine Learning" at Uni Tübingen is currently looking for Early Career Research Group Leaders in Machine Learning for Science. These positions are particularly well suited for researchers either right after their PhD or with some postdoctoral experience — so if you've been thinking about taking the next step toward leading your own group, this could be a great fit! 📌 Position: Early Career Research Group Leader (m/w/d, E14 TV-L, 100%)
🔬 Focus: ML methods at the interface with natural sciences, social sciences, or life sciences
📅 Contract: 6 years (with interim evaluation after 3 years)
🔒 Security: Guaranteed fallback option to a permanent Staff Scientist position (E13) after positive final evaluation
💰 Funding: Includes support for one PhD student + start-up and running costs
📍 Location: University of Tübingen — one of Europe's most vibrant AI research hubs
