Dear all,
The IEEE RAS Women in Engineering committee cordially invites you to our online networking event with a panel discussion on the topic:
Becoming a Plenary/Keynote Speaker in an International Robotics Conference
Confirmed Panelists:
Katherine Kuchenbecker (Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems, Germany)
Lydia Kavraki (Rice University, USA)
Vandi Verma (NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, USA)
The virtual panel discussion right before ICRA 2022 is intended to give everyone a chance to network with the community, even if they cannot attend the conference in person. The event features pitches and a panel discussion between some of the world's most distinguished robotics researchers who have eventually been invited to present a keynote at one of the major robotics conferences. The discussions will address career paths, opportunities, milestones, and difficulties that the panelists have faced along their journey as women in engineering.
The event will be held on Friday, 13 May, 4pm EDT (1pm MST, 10pm CEST, 8pm UTC), via gather.town (the link will be provided to registered participants prior to the event).
There is NO CHARGE for this event, however registration is required via this link: https://app.smartsheet.com/b/form/9a82e33da4b44ffa858e9940227f58cb
People who cannot attend ICRA and first-time attendees are particularly encouraged to register. This event is not only intended for people who identify as women, everyone is welcome!
