Dear all,
We are excited to announce the 2nd edition of the AI for Visual Arts Workshop, to be held in conjunction with ICCV 2025 in Honolulu, Hawai‘i, USA, on October 20, 2025 (AM session, tentative). We invite submissions of full-length papers and extended abstracts that explore the intersection of artificial intelligence and visual arts. The workshop provides a platform for collaboration between computer vision researchers, artists, curators, designers, and cultural heritage professionals.
The workshop seeks high-quality submissions that showcase how AI can be used in the study, generation, restoration, analysis, or dissemination of art and cultural media. Topics include, but are not limited to:
  • Art history, Cultural heritage, and AI
  • 3D scene/object reconstruction from artworks and illustrations
  • Generative art approaches
  • Generative arts, ethics, and safety
  • 2D/3D human pose in art and animation
  • Multimodal and interactive systems for visual storytelling
  • Multimedia databases and digital libraries for artistic research
  • Visual Question Answering (VQA) and captioning for art
  • AR/VR for visual arts, film, comics, and cultural experiences
  • Media content analysis and search
  • Any other topic at the intersection of AI and visual arts
Submission Tracks
We offer two submission tracks: Full-Length Papers (archival) and Extended Abstracts (non-archival). All submissions will undergo double-blind peer review and must follow the ICCV 2025 formatting guidelines using the official Author Kit.
Track 1: Full-Length Papers (Archival)
  • Submission Deadline: June 19, 2025 (AoE)
  • Notification: July 7, 2025 (AoE)
  • Camera-Ready: August 15, 2025 (AoE)
  • Length: 4–8 pages (excluding references)
  • Proceedings: Will appear in ICCV 2025 workshop proceedings
  • Optional supplementary materials allowed (anonymised)
Track 2: Extended Abstracts (Non-Archival)
  • Submission Deadline: August 2, 2025 (AoE)
  • Notification: August 25, 2025 (AoE)
  • Length: Up to 4 pages (excluding references)
  • Will not appear in official proceedings but may be hosted on the workshop website with author consent

We invite submissions of high-quality research that explores the intersection of artificial intelligence and the visual arts. Relevant topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Human pose estimation in art and animation

  • AR/VR applications for visual storytelling and cultural experiences

  • Visual Question Answering (VQA) and captioning for art

  • Media analysis, restoration, and dissemination

  • Digital libraries and databases for artistic research

Accepted full papers will appear in the official ICCV 2025 Workshop Proceedings.
We also welcome extended abstracts (non-archival), with a submission deadline of 2 August 2025.

All submissions must follow the ICCV 2025 formatting guidelines and will undergo double-blind peer review.
