Hi everyone,

my team at ams OSRAM in Regensburg, Germany, is looking for a Ph.D. candidate in causal reinforcement learning.

We are a small research team focused on machine learning research in an industrial setting, with a focus on optimisation (reinforcement learning, Bayesian methods) and causal inference. We just started a project to research and develop causal reinforcement learning methods in cooperation with the University of Hamburg and economic AI.

ams OSRAM is a global leader in optical solutions with around 30,000 employees worldwide and a focus on innovation across sensing, illumination, and visualization. The ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors business in Regensburg, Germany, offers high-performance opto semiconductor components.

For the position, we don't expect experience in semiconductor technologies but you should be ready to learn a lot about it.

We're a very driven and enthusiastic team that also organises a regular exchange meeting to discuss causal methods with researchers from academia and industry as well as a local Women in Data Science conference.

So if you're interested in joining our team or would like to know more about the position take a look here.

All the best,
Maike
