CALL FOR PAPERS — AutoMLPerSys 2026

The 2nd Workshop on AutoML in Pervasive Sensing Systems,

Co-located with IEEE PerCom 2026, Pisa, Italy (March 16–20, 2026)

[We apologize for any cross-posting and request you to circulate this among interested colleagues.]

We invite submissions to the second workshop on Workshop on AutoML in Pervasive Sensing Systems (AutoMLPerSys 2026), focusing on Automated Machine Learning (AutoML) for resource-constrained and always-on systems, including edge devices, wearables, and IoT platforms. Accepted papers will be published in IEEE Xplore. Please consider submitting your latest work in the workshop and kindly share this CFP with your connections!

Paper submission deadline:  November 17, 2025 (23:59:59 AoE)

Topics of Interest (include but not limited to)

  • AutoML for human and environmental sensing
  • Neural Architecture Search (NAS), hyperparameter optimization, pruning, and quantization for tiny/edge devices
  • Energy-aware and hardware-aligned model compression
  • Open datasets and benchmarking for AutoML research
  • Small Language Models (SLMs) for Edge AI: optimization, distillation, NAS-based design
  • Explainable and self-explaining lightweight models (XAI for TinyML)
  • Privacy-preserving and ethical AutoML (federated, differential privacy)
  • Deployment and inference optimization under constraints of power, latency, and interpretability
  • Robustness, generalizability, personalization, and scalability in AutoML-driven systems
  • Trade-offs between accuracy, resource efficiency, and sustainability in continuous sensing
