Dear all,

We are excited to announce our plans for a new edition of the UniReps Workshop on Unifying Representations in Neural Models, to be held at NeurIPS 2026—and we’d love your support in making it a success!

The UniReps Workshop explores how diverse neural models—both artificial and biological—develop similar internal representations when exposed to comparable stimuli. Our goal is to better understand the mechanisms, conditions, and theoretical underpinnings of this phenomenon, and to investigate how such representations might be unified within a shared framework. We also aim to highlight exciting applications, including model merging, stitching, and the reuse of independently trained modules.

Our primary objective is to foster dialogue and collaboration across Machine Learning, Neuroscience, and Cognitive Science, bringing together researchers from diverse backgrounds for interdisciplinary exchange and cooperation.

We are currently seeking interested researchers to join our Program Committee (PC) and to attend the workshop. If you’d like to get involved, please fill out this form. To recognize outstanding contributions, we will also be awarding prizes for Best Paper and Best Reviewer.

We strongly encourage participation from all corners of the ML, neuroscience, and cognitive science communities. Our aim is to create a dynamic, inclusive environment where researchers from different cultures and institutions can share insights and spark new collaborations.

We look forward to your participation and to building an engaging and collaborative space at UniReps.
