PhD Positions in Machine Learning (Montreal, Canada)

I am recruiting PhD students to join my group at Concordia University and Mila. Especially interested in students wanting to work in the following topics:  distributed/decentralized optimization of deep learning models, vision and language problems (e.g. image captioning, video-text retrieval, VQA), continual learning. 

Candidates should have:

- Demonstrated programming skills 

- Good math and ML background 

- PhD applicants should have a Masters (with thesis).  Students interested to start as MS (research) may also be considered.

- Prior research experience in machine learning is a plus
