Dear Colleagues,
https://wba-initiative.org/25532/We are pleased to invite you to submit your innovative research to the special session "Toward Safe Brain-Inspired AI" at ICONIP 2025, scheduled for November 20–24 at the OIST Conference Center in Okinawa, Japan. This session aims to advance interpretability, ethical alignment, and safety of AI systems through insights from computational neuroscience and machine learning.
We welcome submissions related to the following topics:
- Brain-inspired architectures (e.g., sparse/modular networks, biologically plausible learning rules)
- Mechanistic interpretability of AI models
E - thical alignment strategies and frameworks
- Neurotechnology applications (neuroimaging, cognitive modeling) for interpreting AI
- Methods ensuring AI safety, trustworthiness, and transparency
Accepted papers will undergo rigorous peer review and be published both in the special session proceedings and the regular conference proceedings. Presentations are planned to be approximately 20 minutes, including Q&A.
Important Dates:
- Paper submission deadline: May 15, 2025
- Conference dates: November 20–24, 2025
Submission Guidelines:
