2nd CFP: The Health Privacy Challenge @ CAMDA @ ISMB/ECCB 2025

[The Health Privacy Challenge]

Dear all,

We are delighted to announce The Health Privacy Challenge, an interactive opportunity for advancement at the intersection of computational healthcare and privacy in AI research, brought to you as a part of CAMDA Conference at ISMB/ECCB 2025, that will be hosted in Liverpool on July 23-24, 2025! 

Join the challenge either as a Blue Team (🫐) or Red Team (🍅) to advance the field: 

• Blue Team: develop novel privacy-preserving methods for generating synthetic gene expression datasets that retain biological insights,  
  
• Red Team: design trustworthy and realistic membership inference attack methods to assess and highlight potential privacy risks in these synthetic datasets.

🏆 The teams with the best solutions will be invited to present their methods at the CAMDA Conference at ISMB/ECCB 2025, and will be awarded with travel fellowships sponsored by ELSA (https://elsa-ai.eu/) project.

Mar 15, 2025: Phase 1 deadline for Blue and Red Teams

May 12, 2025: Phase 2 deadline for Red Teams

May 15, 2025: CAMDA extended abstract submission deadline for Blue and Red Teams

Jul 23-24, 2025: CAMDA conference at ISMB/ECCB 2025

This challenge is organized as a collaboration between EMBL, CISPA, and the University of Helsinki, with the support of Barcelona CVC and NVIDIA in the context of ELSA.
