Call for Papers: CASE 2025 workshop on Data Driven Modelling and Control for Marine Robots
Dear Colleagues,
We are happy to announce that during CASE'25 we will host an workshop on data driven modelling and control for marine robotics.
Data-driven
modelling and control are essential for advancing marine robotics,
where complex, uncertain, and dynamic underwater environments make
traditional physics-based approaches insufficient. By learning system
behaviour directly from sensor data, data-driven methods enable accurate
modelling of nonlinear dynamics, adaptive control in changing
conditions, and improved performance in tasks such as navigation, path
tracking, and disturbance rejection. These techniques also support
autonomy, multi-sensor fusion, and fault tolerance, making them critical
for long-duration, resilient marine robotic missions.
We
invite researchers to submit work that advances marine robotics,
underwater applications, and data driven modelling and control
approaches for these robots and applications. While our main focus is
on data-driven modelling and control, we also welcome contributions that
inform or enhance marine robotics. Authors are encouraged to describe
their research pipelines, including how and where their methods are
tested (e.g., in simulation, field trials, or hybrid approaches), and to
demonstrate relevance to practical marine or underwater applications.
Potential topics include (but are not limited to):
