A postdoctoral research position is available in the Wireless Networking and Information Processing laboratory in the School of Informatics, Computing, and Cyber Systems (SICCS) at Northern Arizona University in the broad area of AI-assisted wireless communications, security, and multi-agent systems. The start date is January, 15th  2020. The initial appointment is for one year, with possible extension for additional years depending on performance and availability of funding.

 

Required qualifications of the position

 

  • A Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or other related areas from an accredited research institution.
  • Strong knowledge in one or more of the following areas: wireless communications, security, game theory, multivariable optimization, and machine learning.
  • A demonstrated record of publications in high impact journals
  • Excellent command of the English language as well as professional communication and presentation skills
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++ and MATLAB
  • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, and industrial sponsors.

 

Duties include conducting individual and team-based research, publishing conference and journals articles, contributing to the writing of grant proposals, and mentoring MSc and PhD students.
