Two positions for PhD Researchers in AI & Robotics Department at Karlsruhe Institute for Technology (KIT) in Germany. Full Time, up to 5 years, 100% TV-L, E 13.

For the department "Robotics and AI" of the Institute of Material Handling and Logistics (IFL) at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), and in cooperation with "InnovationsCampus Mobilität der Zukunft" (ICM), we are looking for full-time academic staff (100 %) available immediately. 

The doctorate thesis will be with one of the following research topics:

  • Human-Robot Learning, imitation learning, grasping, teleoperation
  • Efficient online learning for robot manipulators
  • Deep Learning for object recognition, detection, and segmentation
  • Curious robotics: supervise learning, intrinsic motivation, autonomous exploration, robot model learning,
  • Mobile robotics: localization and navigation, SLAM
