---------- CALL FOR PAPERS - AutoMLPerSys 2025 ----------

[Our sincere apologies if you receive multiple copies of this email. Please circulate this email to interested research groups.]

We are thrilled to announce the second edition of AutoMLPerSys - The 2nd Workshop on AutoML in Pervasive Sensing Systems, co-located with IEEE PerCom 2025 in Washington DC, USA (March 17-21, 2025). We invite submissions from researchers and scientists working in the field of AutoML for resource-constrained and always-on systems. Accepted papers will be indexed in IEEE Xplore. Submission instructions will be updated soon on the workshop website.

Workshop Website: https://sites.google.com/view/automlpersys2025

AutoMLPerSys is dedicated to advancing research in the specialized domain of AutoMLfor tiny edge systems such as wearables, implantables, and smart fabrics, which are crucial for pervasive human sensing. We welcome full papers presenting novel ideas on the automation of machine learning for pervasive sensing applications. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  *   AutoML for Human Sensing
  *   Hyperparameter Optimization Techniques, Neural Architecture Search Techniques for resource-constrained platforms
  *   Multi-objective optimization techniques addressing challenges of Edge Computing
  *   Methods and challenges in implementing AutoML-generated models on Wearables, Implantables, Smart Fabrics, and Mobile Devices, including Connected Home and Connected Vehicle Edge Devices
  *   Real-time parameter optimization and its impact on on-device inference
  *   Issues related to Deployment and Inference, such as Data Quality, Resource Constraints, Interpretability, Feature Engineering, Privacy, and Sustainability
  *   Problems arising from model parameter reduction, including Robustness, Personalization, Generalizability, Reliability, and Scalability
  *   Application-specific deployment of AI on edge devices and its impact on user privacy, feasibility, and sustainability
  *   Challenges in fitting model architectures for pervasive use - evaluating the trade-offs between resource demand and performance metrics (Accuracy, Robustness)
  *   Balancing the cost of resources (Power, GPU hours, Memory usage) with the benefits of tiny model architectures with low resource footprints for training and inference in continuously running applications
  *   Energy considerations and Power budgeting for continuous Sensing and Inference

Important Dates (Tentative):

  *   Workshop Paper Submission: November 17, 2024 (AoE)
  *   Paper Acceptance Notification: January 08, 2025 (AoE)
  *   Camera-ready Submission: February 02, 2025 (AoE)
  *   Workshop Date: One day between March 17-21, 2025

For more details on the main conference, please visit the PerCom 2025 website: https://www.percom.org/.

We look forward to your valuable contributions and to seeing you in Washington DC!

Thanks and regards,
