Hello,
I wanted to share a volunteer opportunity with the Blacks in Computational and Systems Neuroscience community. It's with Neuromatch's Impact Scholar Program (
https://neuromatch.io/impact-scholars-program/).
The Impact Scholar Program is a global initiative supporting early-career computational science researchers, particularly those from low-resource settings, as they develop their first citable research publications.
We're looking for reviewers across four tracks:
- Computational Neuroscience
- Deep Learning
- NeuroAI
- Computational Tools for Climate Science
Fully remote. Volunteer on your own schedule. Open to applicants worldwide.
Reviews run 3-18 Sept, roughly 5 hrs/week with a rubric provided. Reviewers may also be invited to participate in an optional supervisor review round in October.
We welcome applications from PhD students with some review experience, postdoctoral researchers, faculty, research scientists, and industry researchers.
As a reviewer, you'll:
- Gain recognized experience with a globally recognized open science program
- Add meaningful credentials to your CV and LinkedIn
- Build peer review and research evaluation experience
- Connect with an international community of researchers committed to equity and open science
