Dear WiML community,

We are excited to share that the Reinforcement Learning Summer School (RLSS) will return to Milan from June 3rd to 12th, 2026.

This edition of RLSS will bring together researchers and students for an intensive, in-person program exploring both the foundations and latest frontiers of reinforcement learning. Topics will include reinforcement learning theory, multi-agent systems, RL and large language models, and real-world applications of RL, among others.

The school is co-organized with the ELLIS Unit Milan and is designed for Master’s and PhD students with a background in machine learning who are interested in specializing in reinforcement learning. Postdocs and industry professionals looking to transition into RL research are also very welcome.

In addition to lectures, the program places strong emphasis on networking, with social events and poster sessions that allow participants to receive feedback on their ongoing work from peers and senior experts.
