Research Assistant/Fellow in Computational Stats and Machine learning - UCL (Jan-Aug 2027)

Dear all, 

I have an opening for a research assistant (pre-PhD)/research fellow (post-PhD) position in computational statistics and machine learning at UCL: see here for details, including a job description. 

The position is available from January to August 2027 and the deadline for applications is the 31st July 2026. The successful candidate would be expected to join and contribute to the Fundamentals of Statistical Machine Learning research group in the department of Statistical Science. 

The position is relatively short, but I think could work particularly well in a few situations including:

• A strong MSc student interested in doing research for a year before starting a PhD in the Autumn 2027.
• A current PhD student interested in pausing their PhD to do a research visit at UCL to work with me.
• A finishing PhD student looking for a first position, who might be interested in exploring options for further funding to extend the length of the postdoc.
