Hi,

I am conducting a study through Brown University on understanding how perspectives may shift or remain over the course of enrollment in AI Fairness and Computing Ethics courses.

If you are currently teaching an AI Fairness, Computing Ethics, or similar course, we invite you to participate in two brief, confidential surveys (about 6 minutes each, one at the course beginning and one after it ends). Your perspective as the instructor is valuable to our study. Feel free to share with any other colleagues who are teaching a similar course this semester.

  1. If you choose to participate, please click the link to access the consent form and pre-course survey. The post-course survey will be sent at the end of the semester.

Participation is voluntary and strictly confidential. There is no penalty if you choose to participate, remove yourself from this study, or not participate. We do not anticipate direct harms, though reflecting on issues of fairness and bias may cause a level of discomfort. Your feedback will be valuable in helping achieve the goals of this study.

Thank you for considering this request. I look forward to your response.
