to Womack Genealogy on the Web
To date Womack DNA testing indicates there were three progenitors. Of
the three, Richard Womack, Sr. (married Mary Puckett), John Womack
(married Mary Akin) or Abraham Womack (died 1733 Henrico Co., VA),
which has the most compelling (if any) evidence that William the
Immigrant was his father?
Robert, you wrote on the DNA test results page: "It is very possible
that Abraham, Richard, and John were not related by blood. Rather,
they may have been adopted, possibly by the elusive William "the
Immigrant" Womack."
So it's entirely possible one of the progenitors was the natural son
of William the Immigrant, and then William married or had
relationships two other times and adopted the sons of his wives or
significant others.
Or none of the three were William the Immigrant's son; they were not
related and just happened to live in the same area in Virginia at the
same time.
Is there any indication that William the Immigrant had any
sisters?
