David Flournoy was a brother of Matthew Flournoy, who married
Elizabeth Pryor, dau., of Hon John Pryor. Shirley pointed that out to
me.
Thank you, Robert for the help you give to all of us! I appreciate
all of those records, some of which I had. The new ones are very
interesting. I'll bet ole Sarah Johnson Womack had their household
packed up all of the time!

acres to Major Jacob Wamack, on west side of Fains Branch, the waters
of Little Lime Stone. Beginning at a white oak at the road that goes
from the place where the said WAMACK formerly lived (now the property
of Christopher Taylor) to Benjamin Gests. Surveyed 24 Mar 1779, 292

Benjamin Gest was stationed at Womack's Fort in Fincastle Co., VA (now
Sullivan Co., TN), and is listed on Jacob's 15 July 1776 payroll.
Christopher Taylor was a Captain in the Rev. War. He moved his family
to Washington Co,. TN. After the war. he settled on 205 acres of land
on Limestone Creek. His 2 story log home still stands in Jonesboro,
TN today. Andrew Jackson lived in the Taylor home from 1778-79 while

JACOB WOMACK
Home site at Watauga settled (1774 or 5) on the Holston; near site of
Bluff City. Was an ensign in colonial wars; was active in the Rev,
having a stockade fort at his home on the Holston; served at the
