I found out some more about T D Womack on the 1850 Census of Franklin
Co, IL.

His daughter Dicey Ann Womack married Stewart Slavens, a widower.
Dicey's sister Nancy Jane Womack married Henry B Slavens, who was
Stewart's son by his first wife.

On the 1855 IL State Census, T D Womack was in Shelby Co, IL, near the
Slavens there.
Ancestry has him indexed as "L D Womack".
His family consists of a male 10-20, a male 40-50, a female 10-20, and
a female 40-50.

Ancestry has this marriage:
Dicey Ann Parker Female Stewart Slavins Mar 10, 1855 Shelby

Unknown why she is listed as Parker, perhaps she was married before
she married Stewart, though she was pretty young. "The paperwork also
lists her marriage to Stewart Slavens as March 10, 1855, at
Shelbyville, Shelby County, Illinois".

WorldConnect has Dicey Ann Womack as "Daisy Waimic".

After Stewart's death, she remarried Samuel Wilson. Her death cert is
here:

I think that T D Womack was a grandson of Thomas/Louvisa. He was
probably Thomas D. His dad was most likley James Womack, who was also
likely the dad of Walton Cox Womack, who was 10 houses before T D in
the 1850 Census of Franklin Co, IL.

You did have that Walton was the son of Margaret Unknown and George,
son of Thomas and Louvisa. Have you changed your thinking on this?

From your blog - James, Lorenzo, Nancy and Ransom Womack:

"Then we have another James in Pope Co, IL near Abraham Womack and
George Womack"

What year/years?

About 1835 onwards. James Womack mentioned in Primitive Baptist
Church records in 1837, possibly more years, since I have not seen all
the records. James's theoretical kids married in Pope Co, IL between
1835 and 1837.

See my new post - http://rebgen.blogspot.com/2009/08/george-womack-son-of-thomas-womack-and.html

When I broke down George's family in 1830 and 1840, it did not look
like Walton fit in. Furthermore, Walton named a daughter Sarilda,
which is pretty rare, possibly after his sister Sarilda, dau of
James. Also, in 1860, Walton was in the same township of Franklin Co,
IL as Nancy Womack Story.

I love this term!! "born of native born american ?????"

Could mean an American Indian, or that the person was not born in
another country.
The term has veen so loosely applied to only American Indians; it has
become
moot in terminology. Anyone born in the United States is a native born
American.
Some are native born of American Indian Ancestry.

Also keep in mind, Canadians, Mexicans, Latin America and South
America
countries are all Americans. Perhaps tho, not by traditional
definition.
