Have looked everywhere for this couple.  Have their marriage in Tuscaloosa and have residence in Wynton, Muscogee, GA in 1860.  Can't find in 1850 census or after 1860.  Think he may have signed up as a Reb but without going to county of enlistment at the time for records, that's not for sure.

If anyone has this info handy, would appreciate you sharing.
Thanks
Don

If Martha were the daughter of Bird Womack and Ann Unknown, this would
make her Joel W. Womack's sister. He also named a daughter Martha.

Don,

Sam has the marriage record as:

Martha Ann C Wamack William T Kimbrough 15 Jun 1844 Tallapoosa

That's also the record on Ancestry.com's Alabama Marriage Collection,
1800-1969

Hi Beth.  Thanks for the info.  Sorry for the delay in response.  Actually, E.T., (my wife) and I were there at the courthouse in Tallapoosa Co, AL running the records for, hopefully, some trace of Bird.  Got into marriage books and found Martha and William and found them in Marriage Book 2, page 93.  Married on 6/16/1844.  Found, probably most of the Tallapoosa Womack's there and have records of book and pages if you, or anyone else needs them.  Probably need to post here when I can get some time.

I'd love to see what you dug up in Tallapoosa, especially if it involves Bird and/or George W. Sr.
