Teri Meri Kahaani: A Thrice Upon a Love Story

Teri Meri Kahaani ( transl. The story of you and me) is a 2012 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy film directed by Kunal Kohli. Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra, portray three couples from three different eras: 1910, 1960, and 2012. The film explores the theme of soulmates and how love transcends time and generations.

Plot

The film consists of three stories set in different time periods, each featuring Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra as a different couple.

1910: Sargodha

In 1910, during the British Raj, Javed is a charming and rebellious poet who falls in love with Aradhana, a young girl engaged to a British officer. Javed helps Aradhana elope with him on her wedding day, but they are chased by the British police. Javed sacrifices his life to save Aradhana, who is pregnant with his child.

1960: Mumbai

In 1960, Govind is an aspiring musician who meets Rukhsar, a popular Bollywood actress, on a train to Mumbai. They bond over their careers but part ways after reaching Mumbai. Govind befriends Radhika, a confident and modern girl, who falls in love with him. Rukhsar and Govind meet again at a party and hit it off, but Govind notices a photojournalist following them. He holds Radhika's hand to mislead the journalist, unaware that Radhika is Rukhsar's best friend. When Rukhsar, Radhika and Govind realize the truth, they break up heartbrokenly.

2012: London

In 2012, Krrish and Radha are college students who meet after Krrish breaks up with his girlfriend Meera on his birthday. They become friends and spend time getting to know each other. Krrish falls in love with Radha but is afraid to confess his feelings. Radha also likes Krrish but is engaged to another man. On Valentine's Day, Krrish decides to propose to Radha but is shocked to see her with her fiancé. He leaves without saying anything, but Radha follows him and admits that she loves him too. They kiss and reunite.
