Crack Vocalign Pro 4 Windows

I'm using vocalign ultra loads these days, but on a windows machine it has this nasty little habit of crashing ableton every time I try to save (I've done fresh installs of vocalign, ableton, and even Windows, and every track in this project except for the vocals that I'm editing is frozen to conserve CPU).
I thought that choosing Vocalign as my external audio editor for samples might be a workaround, but I can find zero info on how to do this from Ableton, Synchro arts, or elsewhere on the internet. Has anyone done this? Is it possible? Does a standalone version of vocalign exist?
