THIS GROUP IS
A place where intelligent, informed volunteers can create a strategy for getting the Wolf PAC Resolution introduced and passed in the state of Pennsylvania.  It is a place to share stories, suggestions, tips, relevant articles, and ask any questions or concerns you might have.   It's also a place to report back on our efforts and coordinate contact of targeted state legislators and their constituents.  Go get 'em!

THIS GROUP IS NOT
A place to discuss things that won't help to advance Wolf PAC's extremely focused goal of amending the Constitution through an Article V Convention, limiting the influence that money has over our political process. Please no fundraising appeals for outside groups or candidates, coordination for electoral activity, sharing other people's emails without their permission, or personal attacks. Violating these terms can result in being removed from the group permanently.

Remember that we all came here for a similar purpose (no flame wars, always point the bayonets at the bad guys).

We are the people who are going to write fresh ink on the US Constitution.

Now, Let's Go Fix our Democracy and Save the Republic Together!

Andrew Mathis here, from Philadelphia. I called Rep. Cohen today. I told Mike and will tell all of you here too that my state rep., Brian Sims, is aware of the resolution (because I informed him). So it might be worthwhile to follow-up with him:

One more thing: This legislation in PA is going to have to be timed carefully. If the governor's approval is required (and it probably is), then it might make sense to hold off until early 2015, which Corbett is likely to no longer be the governor. He's on the payroll of the alcohol distilleries and fracking companies at the very least, so he might very well veto a bill like this.

Hi,
I'm Lon Diffenderfer from Thompsontown (Juniata County). I've been spinning my wheels a bit in getting involved with Wolf PAC Pennsylvania because of some family health issues. I did not even take the time to let anyone know that I contacted Rep. Cohen's office last week and was told that they were receiving numerous calls on this issue and that Rep. Cohen is giving it "serious attention" and was "moving toward introducing the resolution." Those are positive sounding words that I hope will be followed by real action. My participation at this time may come in bits and pieces, but I'm not going to give up. This issue (removing the influence of money from politics), is, in my opinion, THE MOST IMPORTANT of our time. Without removing money from politics, there will be no real change on any other issue that we want to affect. We urgently need a "real person" amendment to the Constitution of the United States. It sounds simple enough - a Constitution that protects real people, but accomplishing the task is going to need an overwhelming movement from the general public. Those who have corrupted the system and currently hold the power will not give up without a fight. It can only happen with action from real people - you and me. If anyone on the list lives within the central part of PA and knows of any activities in this region, please keep me notified. Thompsontown is about halfway (approx. 45 min. drive) between State College (Centre County - Penn State) and Harrisburg. I've included my email address so that anyone on the list can get in touch with me. After initial contact through email, I will be happy to provide my mobile number as well.

Best,
Lon

Welcome Don! Hope you don't mind me throwing my 2 cents in though (and maybe you didn't even mean it this way, but I'm just throw it out there): let's not just vote for "the other guy", but while we are working to get money out of politics thru WolfPAC, let's make sure NEITHER of the major party candidates get support unless they actually deserve it. Vote third party this year when you can and send a message that we are coming for them. I am part of the newly formed Justice Party, but feel free to look into the Libertarians, Greens, Constitution, whatever works for you. We just need real choice.

If our current reps won't vote HR 539 for a convention, let's make sure we will vote someone who will.

Hello, My name is Christopher Dima and I live in Lansdale. I am a 10 yr Navy Veteran serving from 1996 until 2006 as an air traffic controller in San Diego CA. To think that my service to defend the rights, liberties and the forward positive progression of our state and nation is all for not by some elitist or corporation simply by signing a check in the matter of minutes. It seriously enrages me and makes me want to vomit. As reported by The Young Turks recently in regards to 9 BILLION DOLLARS in legal bribery is an outright deplorable act that has corrupted our system to the point of complete dysfunction. LOL @ The "will" of the people. More like " how much are you "willing" to donate!. ENOUGH!

My latest FaceBook post:
Money is not Speech... it is Property
Corporations are not People ( with unalienable rights )
The Democratic Process continues to be undermined by lobbyists bribing politicians. Voting is SOOOO important to people... well I guess it can't be that fucking important when the people have allowed unlimited funding donations to promote corruption devaluing the personal reasoning of why you voted for a candidate in the first place.#Merica Generation X... Millennials...  THIS IS THE REASON WHY YOUR GENERATION WILL NEVER BE AS WELL OFF AS YOUR PARENTS.

It's time to fight back. Period. So I click on the link and see that the petition for and Article V Convention was removed from the Table (Removed from table, Sept. 29, 2010 [House]) Well this directly effects their wallets does it not? So should we be surprised? Occupy #2 Could not come soon enough and this time we have to learn from the mistakes from the first movement. With the national news in regards to wealth disparity as common knowledge now, Walmart offering their own freaking employees food donations.... you get the idea.... NOW IS THE TIME ! ENOUGH!

And one more little tidbit of my inner thoughts to give you an idea of who I am. I recently posted this as well:

Sometimes I wonder if it is the people that don't post happenings in the world, share their opinions for open debate/conversation, don't contribute to the awareness of their peers about important topics and issues..... I sometimes wonder if these are the people with the most to hide. Either that or they just don't give a shit and have a natural defeatist attitude. Why in the hell would you not take advantage of an amazing technology (social media) to spread the word of social/political injustices so that the chain reaction of collective awareness can form and real change can come about. Are you that afraid of what others may think about you??? Is your ego really that big? #SadTo think that our brethren that came before us would have jaws dragging agape by what is our common day communicative powers. To not take advantage of it in my opinion is almost criminal. However in my subjective opinion not participating is not caring, not participating is not standing up to the powers that want to trample your constitutional rights and slowly rob you over time of your freedoms/choices/ wealth. Its the patriots that are always first to volunteer and defend the liberties of there brothers. The muted folk I guess when the shit hits the fan makes the patriots their lunches and cross their fingers for good luck. It's a bit sarcastic but you get my point. By collectively not voicing our concerns and opinions is like lying down and allowing the powers that presently be rape our future.

Thank you for reading.
Now lets get that House Resolution Article V back on the General Assembly floor!!!!! :)

Hi.  My name is David N Means Human Supernigger and I live in McKeesport, PA, near Pittsburgh.  I have downloaded and printed a list of state representatives, but it came out tiny, so I will probably buy a magnifying glass and then start calling.  Get in touch with me with any ideas, suggestions or meetups.  I want to help get money out of politics so that we can have an N-rights movement.  I love TYT and just joined Wolf-Pac yesterday (3/13/2014).

Let's get this done!

Three Steps to Reverse Citizens United and Restore Representative Democracy in America:
1. Find a state representative or state senator to introduce this resolution in your state: http://bit.ly/13E87Y3
2. Once introduced, the resolution will be assigned to a committee, so ask members of the committee for their support (helpful talking points: http://bit.ly/14Z2yEp).
3. Once through committee, it will get a vote in the legislature, so ask legislators for their support (contact info for legislators in your state: http://www.wolf-pac.com/states).

"Who can say that the legislature of Alabama which set up that state’s segregation laws was democratically elected? Throughout Alabama all sorts of devious methods are used to prevent Negroes from becoming registered voters, and there are some counties in which, even though Negroes constitute a majority of the population, not a single Negro is registered." - Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s "Letter from Birmingham Prison"

Eschholz, Paul; Rosa, Alfred; Clark, Victoria (2013-01-11). Language Awareness (Page 92). Bedford/St. Martin's. Kindle Edition.

We aren't being blocked from the booths by KKK members like what happened in Alabama, instead the recent supreme court ruling simply made our votes not matter. Let's get a representative democracy back (like we claim to have), step 1: remove the money, all indications are that the majority of the rest of the problems will begin to fix themselves when corruption is curbed and the representatives begin listening to us.

Greetings, I'm Staks Rosch and I live in Delaware County, just outside of Philly. I have worked with State Rep. Mark Cohen from Philadelphia before and I see on Wolf-PAC.com that he is fully on board. That's awesome. I am in Nick Miccarelli's district and have only met hi briefly a few times. He is a Republican, but he is also young and fairly moderate. He might be willing to support Wolf-PAC.

I'm a stay-at-home-dad, so I can do a few things online during the day, but probably won't have the time to have an in person meeting. But that could change. I am also a Democratic Committee person and former Minority Election Inspector. I won that election by one vote (mine), so anything is possible and every vote counts.

I have been speaking at meetings with Bucks County republican and democratic clubs and civic organizations to introduce the movement to them.

Looking to fight corruption on all levels.  I have a meeting with local PA house rep Marguerite Quinn this FRIDAY 5/2.  I have been ignored by Chuck McIlhenny so far.

People have limited time but if anyone has any time to help on this end it would be greatly appreciated!

Hi. I'm Neil Goldstein from Media. I'm a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Delaware County, and of our Justice Ministry Team's committee working to pass a constitutional amendment to get big money out of politics and to end corporate personhood. I plan to be on tonight's conference call. I've spoken with John Poole, whom our church has invited to be on a panel in the autumn on these issues. I haven't yet gotten my volunteer training but I want to start soon to contact legislators. Seeking clarification on one point -- it looks like no state senator has introduced Wolf PAC's bill. Is that right?

Welcome Mark!! Don't worry I didn't know who my representatives were until about 2 months ago either. haha
Check out this website for finding your rep's.  http://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/legis/home/findyourlegislator/

We would love your help in Pennsylvania, so if you are interested, these are a couple of things you can do to help out!

1. Call your state representative and senator and ask for their support. Ask your representative to cosponsor HR539, a resolution currently sitting in the State Government committee. And any important updates, you can update the group by posting it in the Google Group and by marking it down on our PA worksheet (click here).

2. Participate in our daily call to a key legislator. Every weekday, I send out an email with a target legislator's name and phone number. If you have a couple minutes, you can call that legislator and ask for their support!

Welcome Aboard!!
