Dear Vicki.

in the light of last year O22 3-month painstaking work to get it to happen in SF,

with only minor participation from Rita and Karen, only  cracking  the  whip on wording, theme and credits,
( in the process publicly  disrespecting you Vicki, Bill, Artie and Mazda at steering committee meetings, when y'all wanted to connect the dots between Police Violence, development, imminent domaine and gentrification)

I am not inclined to invest this amount of time away from ISF direct client services for OCT22 in SF  this year.

I have a lot of respect for their work, attended 2 national conferences in Greensboro and Houston, and they were the first ones to offer support when Idriss was murdered by SFPD, will never forget.

But the refusal from the NY Central Office to join our efforts beyond a yearly day of protest,
and our many messages to Carl Dix and Efia  remaining completely unanswered for the past year to date,  is  the reason for ISF pulling out, while still offering peripheral help.

If they ask for an OCT22 SF, I will tell them I'm down to join the march if they provide me with a wheelchair LOL, and will simply offer to  forward their flyer on the Net.

I propose that we form a strong
End the War At Home
contingent, with banners, chants, and a keynote speaker at
Oct 27 SF ANSWER event.

Candles, incense,

a drummer (or more),
( punctuating the names of )

Cammerin Boyd
and Gus Rugley,

+ recent SF PD victims

Karen Ecklund,
Asa Sullivan
Big O Lefiti
Craig Holden
Marlon Ruff
Herbert Tyrone Watts

Blown up pictures of Lost Lives to carry along on the March,
keynote speaker laying out
concrete demands and action plan,
Volunteer follow-up sign up list circulating all day,

+ general email/ phone list sign up,

A big Altar on the lawn in front of City Hall, with a guest book

Copwatch hand outs,

and hand out lists of
CBOs providing direct services. with links, emails and phone #'s.

The ISF banner Joyce  did for us was stolen... at "(White) Power to the Peaceful" last year. Bill went back to find it but it was gone,  I seem to remember.

I sent them a mail last month calling for more diversity, and they failed to respond, Therefore I do not think I will do an altar there this year.
Silence of "white Liberals" actually simplify and reduces the naivete of ISF and  general propension to be at all places, all times, thanks dudes.

I would love to be involved in the making of Oct27, but unfortunately I always need a ride, too weak to muster bus rides at this point.

So what do you think of my proposition, Vicki ? Can you pass it on to Richard ?

Hug and Later
