Queer Magic 2011: Call for the Cauldron

Queer Magic Cauldron is creating spaces to explore and share our queer magic.
Reveling in our fabulous variety, we step into our queer powers
to bless, liberate, and heal ourselves, our city, and this Earth.

Let's craft the container for this year's Queer Magic urban gathering for Radical Faeries and friends of Spirit (September 22-27).

If you've been enjoying recent Queer Magic gatherettes (Thanksgiving, Imbolc, Solstice, theater games, heart circles, Speed Dating) and are looking forward to our fifth annual urban gathering, now is the time to help make the magic happen.

Come Faeries of all flavors and clans, come witches, come earth activists, come love warriors, come gender revolutionaries, come bridge-builders and walks-betweens! Come instigators, organizers, facilitators, teachers, templekeepers, kitchen queens, helpful people, empowered participants! Come beloved ancestors, come elders, adults, young folks, novices, and newcomers! Come family and loving companions and friends who haven't met yet!

Please bring your unique and delicious flavor profile and your woo box full of mad skills. Bring your visions for community that are way too big for you alone. Bring your open heart and your willing hands and your holy hankerings.

Exciting developments are afoot, and some big challenges. Nothing is set in stone, everything is frothing with creative potential. Never mind what it has been -- what is it becoming, and how can we get out of its way?

Topics for the next Cauldron meeting:

• We need to mani-mooni-tranifest new space(s) for Queer Magic, now that Urban Grind NE is closed. More on what we're looking for in a separate post.
  
  
• The fabulous Faeposium is planned for Portland this fall. The previous ones in SF were awesome occasions for communal reflection and celebration. Evie, one of the Faeposium organizers, will be at Tuesday's meeting to explore the potential for collaboration.
  
  
• Who's got juice for another Speed Dating event in August?
