Dear WoHEC,
Following the opening of the Sustainability Hub on October 18, WoHEC will have its next meeting at the Hub!
We will discuss and further develop Peter Cutting’s memo about how to make use of, and help further develop the Hub for true sustainability purposes.
We will also discuss a possible chapter of the Sustainable Business Academy in Worcester.
This meeting will prepare the meeting of Green2Growth on December 4, where the Hub is the main agenda item.
We are very pleased that Rita Moran, the Hub’s manager; and Andrea Gossage, the point person from National Grid, will both attend this meeting. They have both reacted very positively to our ideas (attached).
Place: Sustainability Hub, 912 Main Street, Worcester MA
Time: Tuesday November 19, 2:00-3:30 pm
Please let me know if you plan to attend (please reply to me and not to the entire list)
Attached is also a flyer that we developed last year; and which is still up to date (except for the meeting venue.
Warm regards, and hoping to see you all. This is a great opportunity to launch new activities,
Philip

Subject: follow up yesterday's meeting
Dear WoHEC-cers,
We had three very useful meetings yesterday.
-Worcester Solar Challenge: we agreed to organize two meetings: a small one at Marsh for the neighborhood on October 1st ; and a large one later in October (hopefully) hosted by Clark President David Angel. I attach a promotional letter by Worcester Barnraisers and Next Step Living.
-W. Sustainability Hub: We discussed our ideas in the morning; and then presented them to Green2Growth meeting in the afternoon. We were very well received, and got the promise that next meeting will be entirely dedicated to discuss them (attached). In the meantime, Peter Cutting will arrange a meeting of the WoHEC working group with Rita, the Hub manager. This would be a sort of implementation of our point 5, a Citizens Advisory Committee to the Hub Manger. Peter will keep you posted.
In all: very promising developments; and WoHEC plays a useful role in them. We were very pleased to see Jill Dagilis and Jennie Stephens at our meeting (as well as the usual suspects and a very promising new stuendt member, Kelly Lamond, who is also a Hub Ambassador.
So we hope and expect a revival of WoHEC in the near future!
Philip
